Oil pumping via Kuybyshev–Tikhoretsk pipeline halted on breach

MOSCOW/SARATOV, Apr 10 (PRIME) -- Oil pumping via the Kuybyshev–Tikhoretsk trunk pipeline has been suspended due to a break and oil spill in the Saratov Region, aide to the president of oil pipeline monopoly Transneft Igor Dyomin told PRIME on Tuesday.

“Oil pumping via the oil pipeline has been suspended. The volumes from the reservoir park in Novorossiysk will ensure an uninterrupted supply to the consumers. The approximate launch time is in 24 hours,” Dyomin said.

The Emergency Ministry reported that the area of the spill amounts to 750 square meters. The nearby towns are not at danger.
